TWIGGY RAMIREZ Rejoins MARILYN MANSON

January 9, 2008

Bassist Twiggy Ramirez (real name: Jeordie White) has rejoined MARILYN MANSON for the group's upcoming North American tour. Joining Manson and Twiggy on stage for the U.S. leg of the "Rape of the World Tour" will be Chris Vrenna, Rob Holliday, and Ginger Fish. Tim Skold has amicably split with Manson, but future collaborations aren't being ruled out between the two.

According to a posting on Marilyn's web site, expectations for the upcoming tour are best described by quoting one of Manson's most infamous lyrics, "Everyone will suffer now."

When asked in a February 2006 interview with the Des Moines Register if he ever missed the days of Twiggy, the dresses, the shock, the theatricality, White — who has spent time playing with both NINE INCH NAILS and A PERFECT CIRCLE — said, "I miss it sometimes. There's a lot of parts of my life that I like so much better now. One of the reasons I'm not in (MARILYN MANSON) anymore is that I started to feel a little ridiculous. . . . The time period I was in that band I meant it, all the theatrics onstage, all the characters, so to speak, without sounding too stupid or pretentious. The Twiggy Ramirez character was real. And then it began to start to feel like Gene Simmons or something. 'Oh, I gotta put my dress on to go play.' If I were to do that again I probably wouldn't be that same person. I wouldn't just do the KISS reunion and throw the dress on and smear my makeup and start doing a bunch of drugs."
